'China consumer series: China's emerging middle class spenders - what they want and how to attract them' is a lunch panel discussion organised by the American Chamber of Commerce. The panel discussion will look at topics such as who are the new consumers in China, what are they eyeing and buying, macroeconomic trends that are affecting consumer spending and the challenges and opportunities.

'The Scottish Business Group annual economic debate: Why apocalypse now?' is a lunch organised by the British Chamber of Commerce. The speakers will discuss and debate the global economy and its brink on depression. Mismanagement of the US Federal Reserve, the Bank of Japan and the ECB are blamed as root causes and smaller banks have to mitigate the damage.
