Models throw a juicy bone to dog rescue centre

No cynicism, just a straightforward comment. That it's really nice to see homegrown talent show compassion for animals and welfare issues here. Local supermodel Rosemary Vandenbrouke (right) and some of her modelling friends will put on a fashion show at WasabiSabi tonight to raise money for Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR).

Vandenbrouke, who is an ambassador for HKDR, has personally supervised the staging of the fashion show and will be featuring clothes from prestigious fashion houses including Puma, Diesel, Episode, Indigo and Toppy.

Strutting down the sleek catwalk of WasabiSabi, Rosemary and fellow models Ana Rivera, Lisa S, Janis Wong and Jacquelin Ch'ng will showcase the latest trends to Hong Kong's fashionistas, socialites and dog lovers. Selected outfits will be offered at auction or given away alongside prizes donated by local clothing and hotel businesses.

Ticket prices include sushi and finger food created by WasabiSabi's chefs and drinks throughout the evening, with proceeds from ticket sales going direct to Hong Kong Dog Rescue.
