Hail to the heroes of concrete repair
The Concrete Repair Association (CRA) on Friday announced the recipients of the annual CRA Awards for Excellence in Concrete Repair 2007.
The association this year received a record number of entries for the trophy.
'While the population blissfully carries on with daily life secure in the knowledge that the buildings they live or work in are safe and structurally sound, they have little awareness that it is CRA member organisations who daily carry out much-needed repair works to many Hong Kong buildings,' said CRA chairman Christopher Stanley.
The construction industry has much to do with demolition rather than preservation, so let's hear it for the boys who are cementing relations with the local community. Among the champions were Stress (Far East) for refurbishing Kowloon Plaza, and in second place was Hop Yuen Construction for restoring St Stephen's College.
