HKIEd offers awards worth HK$3.8m

The Hong Kong Institute of Education will offer a total of 171 scholarships and prizes worth HK$3.8 million in the coming academic year, including its first scholarship for students majoring in music. Scholarships are up 45 per cent on last year and awards have jumped by 60 per cent. Two scholarships are new: the Tai Po District Arts Advancement Association Scholarship, from the Tai Po Arts Advancement Association, to enable five HKIEd students to study music, and the Evelyn Yee-fun Man Scholarship, donated by Dr Man, an associate professor of education at Chinese University.
