Don't take your good friends for granted

Everyone has friends, but do you have someone who you can really depend on?

If you have such a friend you can confide in, you're lucky because one such person is enough.

If you don't, you should think about the reasons.

A good friend is someone you can tell your secrets to. A true friend will support you, have faith in your abilities and understand your needs.

You should treasure such a friendship. If the trust is broken, it's hard to build up the relationship again.

One good friend is enough, but you need to appreciate him or her.

CHERRY WONG

Tsuen Wan Public Ho Chuen Yiu Memorial College Thanks for your letter, Cherry. A good friendship is truly something of great value. And the closer the friendship the more valuable it is, because real friendship can't be bought. It is something earned.

It takes time and commitment to earn a special friendship - and all that leads to trust.

To have a friend who you trust, who you can tell anything to and who supports you, is a special thing, and something worth treasuring. Think of it as a plant. In order for the plant to grow, you need to water it each day. Even when the plant is big and strong, it still needs looking after. Never take your good friends for granted.
