Chain gang

Having worked with Alber Elbaz at Lanvin, Parisian designer Ligia Dias has stepped out on her own and created a collection of jewellery. Inspired by the work of Bauhaus artist Anni Albers, Dias has made colourful necklaces using industrial materials contrasted with luxurious items. Look for satin ribbons, heavy chains, Swarovski-encrusted brass plates, pearls and rope. For the summer, opt for the yellow ribbon necklace threaded through red acrylic discs (above right; HK$1,650). Or, try a necklace of turquoise ribbon threaded through clear acrylics discs and suspended from a heavy chain (above left; HK$2,700).
