Exhibit with sole
Adidas is hosting an exhibition of its trainers, showcasing more than 20 pairs of never-worn archive pieces from the 1970s and 80s (below). Customers who spend HK$1,000 or more on a pair of ZX, Superstar, Stan Smith or Gazelle trainers will receive an Adidas Originals flashlight and a vintage exhibition poster. Hermes takes the silk route

Doherty does it for Cavalli
Roberto Cavalli has recruited Kate Moss' boyfriend, recovering drug addict and Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty, to star in his autumn/winter menswear campaign. Moss will reprise her role as the face of the women's campaign. The ads will appear in fashion magazines from next month.
Changes at Cacharel
After seven years at Cacharel, Inacio Ribeiro and Suzanne Clements will step down as artistic directors of the French fashion label. They will be replaced by Spanish-born designer Esther Angula.
Olsen twins are good sports
After the debut of their clothing line, the Row, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen (below, from left) will launch a contemporary sportswear line named after their siblings, Elizabeth and James, this autumn.
Becker wins brand role
Tennis player Boris Becker has been named Polo Ralph Lauren's international brand ambassador for Wimbledon 2007. Becker will don the label's apparel for his role as a tournament commentator, and help launch the label's new interactive shopping experience at the Polo Ralph Lauren boutique in London, Fashion Week Daily reports.
Italian designer Garavani Valentino has announced plans for the 45th anniversary celebrations in Rome of his first collection. A retrospective of his creations will be held from July 6 to 8, and, for the first time in 17 years, he will present his autumn/winter haute couture show in Rome to more than 1,000 guests and celebrities, according to Fashion Week Daily. Valentino (below) will also launch a book, A Great Italian Story.
