Death of diver an accident: coroner

A Coroner's Court yesterday ruled that the death of a diver who drowned off Sai Kung last year was an accident. Bjorn Lohse, 51, owner of Le Jardin bar in Central and part-time lawyer, died in April last year while diving to recover an outboard engine in Lobster Bay off Sheung Sze Wan. The court earlier heard his wife saying she had heard the driver of a high-powered inflatable dinghy shout he had hit something in the water just as her husband was due to resurface. But a government pathologist said the head injuries could not have been inflicted by the dinghy.
