In relation to the report 'Death of diver an accident: coroner' on C1 yesterday, we wish to clarify that the coroner ruled Bjorn Lohse was hit by a high-powered inflatable dinghy driven by Mark Simpson when he resurfaced from a dive. The coroner also completely rejected the government pathologist's suggestion that the dinghy could not have caused the head injuries Lohse sustained.

The report 'Diner awarded HK$10m for fall' on C1 yesterday wrongly attributed the judgment to Miss Justice Maggie Poon Man-kay, who is a Deputy Judge of the High Court. The judgment was in fact handed down by High Court judge Mr Justice Jeremy Poon Shiu-chor.

The report 'Plan for mall libraries to attract more readers' on C1 on June 8 misquoted commentator Mathias Woo Yan-wai as suggesting turning libraries into commercial operations as the only way forward. Mr Woo was actually referring to corporatising the city's library operations and shifting them from the direct control of the bureaucracy to a non-government structure.
