Man falls while climbing from flat

A 36-year-old man fell into a courtyard as he was climbing from his flat to the ground to retrieve his identity card about 7am yesterday. Police said the man was climbing down the outside of his building in Fir Street, Tai Kok Tsui, using a rope tied around his body and secured to his flat's security door when the accident happened. He suffered leg injuries and was admitted to Kwong Wah Hospital. His condition was listed as serious last night. The man's wife, 34, called police to report the incident. Police said the case was not suspicious.
