Almost every child in Hong Kong can go to school, but unfortunately a lot of children do not like to study.

They complain about the heavy workload and the pressure.

We gain a lot from learning. We can learn about Chinese culture by reading books. We can also learn about history and other subjects.

We can make friends in school. We learn to get along with others and become more mature.

Change your attitude. Look forward to school and enjoy learning.

JENNY CHAN

Shun Lee Catholic Secondary School Thanks for your letter, Jenny. For most people, school is the only time in their life when they are immersed in an environment in which the main goal is to learn. This is a wonderful opportunity, so don't waste it.

Many poor children around the world aren't able go to school. An education would give them a chance of a good job and a brighter future. Because for us school is just a normal part of life, we often take it for granted.

Try to remember, next time you feel sleepy in class, that school is what you make it. You have to draw the best out of it.
