Victorian velvet jacket  that's more than 110 years old that I  discovered after an intensive three-day shopping expedition  in London.

Favourite designer?

I'm not a loyal  follower and I switch from one to another, subject to their collections each season:  Stella McCartney when she was with Chloe was once a favourite,  Alber Elbaz and Alessandro Dell'Acqua  are my latest loves.

Favourite summer trend?

A nicely cut, long loose-fit tee or shirt-dress with leggings and ballerina flats.

What do you buy  each summer?

A big white bag and white flats or sandals.

What's on your most wanted list for summer?

An oversized necklace.

Style icon?

Cecil Beaton and Marie Antoinette. They're more inspirations than style icons.

High-end or high street?

I'm both an H&M and Lane Crawford/Joyce person. I go practically anywhere and everywhere for shopping.

Fashion disaster?

My first black tie outfit  at age 17. I looked like Joan Collins in Dynasty.

What colours and prints  are you wearing this summer?

I've been sticking to stripes and metallics lately.

Must-have accessory?

An oversized ring.

Favourite sunglasses?

I  love Cutler and Gross and I've been collecting their sunglasses since 1990, but Marc Jacobs' Jackie O-style big round black sunglasses could be an option.

Your fashion style?

Bespoke men's tailoring  and its clever application in  women's wear. Yves Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney and Chloe's previous collections have been doing a great job  for many seasons.
