I am an outgoing person. I like meeting new people and I try to challenge myself regularly.

However, I also love to spend time alone, listening to music and writing in my journal.

I live in a small town called Corunna. Only about 2,000 people live here.

Luckily, it's just 10 minutes away from Sarnia, population 70,000. This is where I attend school and do activities. It's right by a lake, so we spend most of our summers on the beach or camping.

In school, everybody studies maths, English and religion. You can choose your other subjects after Grade 10.

At the end of our first lesson, we have a radio show, where students play music, tell jokes and make the announcements for the day.

In my free time, I enjoy chatting to friends online. I also read a lot, play the piano and sing. I love to write, especially poetry, songs and in my journal.

I live with my mum and my step-dad. I have three older sisters who I am close to. My step-father and I get along very well too.

My idol would have to be Janis Joplin. I love her music so much. It's classic rock from the 1960's. But her songs are still relevant today, and you can really hear her emotions when she sings.

My favourite sport is hockey. I grew up watching my uncle and my dad playing it, as well as many of my cousins.

I have spent endless weekends at hockey arenas. I love to cheer on the Detroit Red Wings, my favourite hockey team.

I love the Canadian landscape. It is unique and surprising.

I can go east and see the ocean with all the little fishing ports, or I can go west and see the prairies and the Rocky Mountains.

Canada gives its citizens so many rights and freedoms. Sometimes we forget how free we are, but it's really important to me.

The fact that I can work anywhere I can get hired, wear whatever I want, and speak my mind is a powerful gift.

We celebrate many different festivals in Canada, as we are a multicultural country, but one that is unique to Canada is Canada Day on July 1.

I usually attend a big parade with my friends in the morning, where we dress in red and white clothes with maple leaves on them.

In general, teenagers in my country live in a bubble. They don't think about the outside world, because they are so wrapped up in their own issues.

However, we work hard to improve our communities - each student that graduates from high school must complete 40 hours of community service.

In the future, I would like to become a history or philosophy teacher.

After high school, I want to go away to university and hopefully one day get married and have children.

We will forward all your e-mails to her.
