Living under pressure and tension, you may find it difficult to keep a smiling face.

You may think it's more important to be rich or famous, but a little smile can bring happiness to you as well as other people.

When you laugh or listen to others' laughter, you will no longer feel depressed or anxious. Having a hearty laugh can bring hope and faith to others.

Laughter is like a shining sun. It radiates warmth and brightness. Without it we live in a gloomy world filled with loneliness and pessimism. That's why laughter plays such an important role in our daily life.

Leung Shek Chee College Thanks for your letter, Amy. I agree with you about the value of laughter. A light-hearted joke can go a long way towards easing tensions - and thus making it easier to find a solution to a problem. Problems that are caused by personality clashes or a battle of egos can be resolved through laughter, which helps people loosen up and stop taking themselves so seriously.

The infectious nature of laughter also helps to spread the good vibe. Even if you're not in a remotely happy mood, you can put yourself in a better mood by laughing.

When I'm in a bad mood, I like to watch comedies - they always give me a lift and help me see the bright side of things.
