10 held after attack on police

Ten men aged between 19 and 33 were arrested for being involved in a fight and attacking police in Chuen Lung Street, Tsuen Wan, at about 5am yesterday. Residents had earlier reported to police that the men were fighting in the street. Five of them attacked two police officers when being arrested. The two injured officers were admitted to Yan Chai Hospital.

Injured hiker flown to safety

A 54-year-old hiker with leg injuries was flown by the Government Flying Service to Queen Mary Hospital. Police said the woman was injured while hiking with 11 other people at Tai Mo Shan.

Police find man's body in flat

The body of a man has been found in a flat at Sam Pei Square in Tsuen Wan. Residents had told police they noticed an odour coming from the flat. Officers broke in and found a man lying on a bed. He was certified dead at the scene. Police said an initial investigation showed nothing suspicious.

Two hurt in four-car crash

Two men aged 27 and 55 were injured when a private car and three taxis were involved in a collision in Tai Chung Kiu Road near City One in Sha Tin at 2.20am. The pair, suffering neck and back injuries, were admitted to Prince of Wales Hospital.

Shark sighting prompts warningAnother sighting of two sharks about one metre long at Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park in Sai Kung Country Park has prompted the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department to warn people to stay out of the water there.
