It was uncertain when the new Lok Ma Chau spur line would begin operations because the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation was still awaiting notice from the mainland, its chief executive, James Blake, said yesterday. All facilities and systems were in place on the Hong Kong side. 'It will take KCRC less than one week to commence operations after being told that all of the facilities on both sides are ready,' Mr Blake said. Operations would be reviewed six months after they started, he said.
