If you like listening to music, send us a review

Music is a very important part of our lives. We hear music everywhere, whether at home or out in the streets. With music you never feel isolated.

You may think that out in the countryside, away from TV and radios, there is no music. You are wrong.

There is the music of birdsong and insect noises, a welcome contrast to the noisy, electronically reproduced music you hear in the city.

Music is soothing and relaxing. Have you ever tried to listening to quiet, gentle music when you are angry or sad? Try this the next time when you feel unhappy and note the difference.

CHERIE

Thanks for your wonderful letter, Cherie. I love your suggestion that music is around us all the time - even in the sounds of the countryside.

We run student music reviews every Friday - turn to page 2. If you've enjoyed an album or would like to tell Young Post readers about your favourite band, please write about it for our review page. We also run reviews on movies - all reviews should be about 200-250 words, and don't forget to tell us your name and school.

You can also send in your book reviews - over the summer we are also publishing these on Fridays. And you can send in your photos and drawings for publication, too. And, of course, you can always get involved in the lively forum on the Young Post website - www.yp.scmp.com
