Surprise at sales of semi-nude calendar
Model Lisa Selesner (below) is either a heck of an actress or really naive. At the launch last Thursday for the semi-nude Racks calendar she helped organise for charity, the fashionista told us she was genuinely surprised that they were selling like cheesecakes, ur, hotcakes.
'I am very happy that as people walked up to the door, they were already buying two or three calendars. It's amazing,' Selesner said. 'I know a lot of people have been asking about it and it is going to be available at HMV.'
What's not to like. The proceeds benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation and Selesner doesn't mind joining Victoria's Secret catalogues and Sports Illustrated swimsuit editions as requisite decoration in male dormitories.
'I am western, so I don't think so much about it,' she said nonchalantly. 'I am OK with exposing my top, but sometimes Hong Kong people are quite bashful and that was what I was worrying about ... But I am very comfortable being naked. We also wanted to raise awareness of breast cancer ... Hopefully, we will do this every year.'
