So you think your commute to work is long?

Check out broadcaster Jennifer Su's schedule. The RTHK radio host and Star News Asia anchor has added another gig to her busy schedule.

Since January, Su (right) has been presenting the African Business Report on Sky News through their affiliate network in Johannesburg.

That's right, she's doing a 14-hour shuttle between South Africa and Hong Kong almost every other week. Needless to say, it has left her in a perpetual state of jet lag.

'Working in Africa has been eye-opening and I love the people, but I'm always relieved to be back in Hong Kong,' Su said. The other downside of life in South Africa: a 25 per cent rise in robberies and carjackings means she goes to work in an armoured car with bulletproof glass.

'I'm also living in a high-security gated compound with barbed-wire fences and 20-feet-deep motion sensors.'

The African posting is Su's effort to spend more time with her husband, who was transferred to Johannesburg for work.

In addition, she still occasionally has to go to Thailand for other media and MC jobs.

No doubt she's earning loads of air miles, but the hectic flying and schedule juggling is taking its toll.

'I've started drinking a lot of coffee and Red Bull, although [if I drink] too much, I might start tripping over my words.'
