Who cares what's on TV? It's the box itself that matters

Some say TV is a medium rarely well done. At LG's launch of its Art Design series of LCD television sets, fashion stylist Dorian Ho Kwok-ching would rather that people focus outside the box, as it were. As a man of aesthetics, he thinks nowadays the form is just as important as the content of a television.

'Design is very important now, not only in television, but also mobile phones and many other things. People demand more in beauty. So, besides the quality, the design is also very important,' Mr Ho said.

'And the simpler the better. This makes things easier to be matched with other things. People nowadays put a lot of effort on the interior design of their home, so the design of the television does matter.'

Mr Ho claims he's basically a homebody who doesn't like crowds and would rather hibernate at home watching DVDs on weekends.

'As the quality of televisions gets better and better, they are like home theatre, now so there is no need to watch movies outside,' he said.

So, I guess we won't be seeing him at the Rush Hour 3 gala premiere.
