The police sergeant who injured a policewoman as he fired three shots at a drunken man was justified in opening fire, according to his commander. 'As repeated warnings were ignored, our officer ... had to defend himself and shoot,' said senior superintendent Chau Ping-sun, acting Western district commander. The crime squad from Western police station is investigating why all three shots missed the 45-year-old man.
