Two hurt, dog killed in crash

Two people were injured and their pet schnauzer was killed in a car crash in Hung Hom. Police said the driver lost control of his car, which crashed into the kerb railings on Chatham Road North, near the Polytechnic University, at about 10.30pm. The dog was hurled out of the car on impact. The driver, 35, was trapped in his seat with minor injuries and had to be freed by firemen. A woman passenger, 31, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to hospital.
