I'm a very responsible guy, but I also love to party. I'm generally very friendly.

My first language is Spanish and I also speak English.

I'm a university student. I study administration, statistics, mathematics and management. I spend about three to four hours a day on school work.

My school life is fun - when I'm not studying, I'm having fun with my friends.

Music plays a huge part in my life. I like different kinds of music, but my favourite is English-language pop music. The Black Eyed Peas are my number one band. I like their fusion music.

I also love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Savage Garden, Sean Paul, Will Smith and Robbie Williams. But I also like the oldies by Queen, Kiss and Abba.

My friends and I like dancing. When we are tired, we go to a bar for some drinks and a chat.

My favourite sport is football. Here in South America, football is a very popular sport. I also like basketball, swimming and chess.

I spend my holidays with my family. We usually stay in my province and go to the countryside to places such as Ba?os, Ambato and Quito.

In the future I would like to travel to Europe.

I eat a lot of bread. But I also like Chinese and Mexican food. I also drink 'medical' drinks which are derived from plants with curative powers.

I'm lucky, because I don't have to cook at home. But I have to help with some household chores, such as tidying up the living room and my bedroom.

My clothing style is quite 'punky'. My wardrobe staples are black shirts and Converse shoes.

In the future, I would like to have my own sports company which imports and sells sports-related products in my country.

Here in Ecuador, the weather is so variable! Sometimes, a hot, sunny day can be followed by freezing cold, miserable weather.

There are some things I don't like about my country - there is a lot of corruption. You can see fraud in schools and the government. The police and public institutions are all badly affected by corruption.

Ecuador has many special customs and traditions. We are very religious, so we observe all the major religious holidays.

But I think the most beautiful celebration in Ecuador is held in my city. It's called the 'mama negra'.

Held in November, the festival commemorates the revolt of black servants against their white masters.

Ecuadorian people are very friendly. Most of them are hard-working and have a sense of responsibility. They love their families.

I think Ecuadorian people are different from other people in the world. To me, they are 'forma de ser', which means a 'special kind of being'.

I have three closest friends - Maria Jose, Pa, and Bacho.

They are my best friends because they always help me, listen to me, and understand me.

They are wonderful people that I'll never forget.
