Customs officers arrested six people and seized counterfeit luxury goods worth HK$370,000 in a raid in Mong Kok. In an operation that ended early yesterday, officers raided a ground-floor stall and two flats on Tung Choi Street that were selling fakes, including Louis Vuitton handbags and wallets and Rolex and Omega watches. Two men and four women, aged 25 to 45, including two mainlanders, were arrested.

7 hurt as minibus and car collide

Seven people were slightly injured in a head-on collision between a minibus and a car in Ho Chung Road, Sai Kung, at about 7am. The two drivers and five minibus passengers were taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment. The driver of the car remained under observation in hospital.

Police arrest 25 in gambling raid

Police arrested 25 people and seized more than HK$27,000 cash in an anti-gambling operation in Yuen Long. The 15 men and 10 women, aged between 32 and 68, were playing mahjong when officers raided a flat in Yuen Long Pau Cheung Square at about 1am. Police said a tip-off led to the raid.

Fisherman airlifted to hospital

A man was airlifted to Eastern Hospital after he was injured while working on board a Hong Kong-registered fishing vessel near Ling Ding Island, outside Hong Kong waters, at about 10am. The man, 49, was in stable condition.

Attempt to identify woman's body

Police are appealing for help to identify a woman who fell to her death in Mong Kok last month. The South Asian woman, thought to be aged between 20 and 30, was found on an awning at the rear lane of Fa Yuen Street on July 22. The woman was 1.6 metres tall and had curly black hair. She wore a white, round-collar T-shirt, shorts and a pair of slippers. Anyone with information can contact police on 2398 6393.
