The silk way

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of its famous silk scarves, Hermes has launched a collection called Carres 70 for the autumn. The scarves (HK$2,050 each) are smaller than the traditional 90cm x 90cm and all are made from a softer silk for a vintage feel. There are six motifs to choose from and standouts include the Jeux des omnibus et dames blanches scarf, which is a replica of the first Hermes scarf, produced in 1937. The Kelly bag may be elusive but fans can get a taste of it with the Kelly en caleche scarf (right), which is printed with images of the iconic tote.
