Husband claims wife beat child

Police are investigating a case of child abuse after a man reported his wife for slapping their five-year-old son at their Sheung Shui home. The boy was only slightly injured by his mother, who was angry that he had not done his homework. She was released on police bail.

Advisory after maggot infestation

The Centre for Health Protection has urged people to guard against myiasis after investigating the case of a 70-year-old man who was admitted to hospital after it was discovered he had maggots in a wound on his foot.
