Saleswoman admits theft of 108 items

A 27-year-old saleswoman who stuffed 108 items into two bags and then walked out of a department store without paying pleaded guilty to theft yesterday. Eastern Court heard that a plain-clothes security guard saw Chu Ying-sui filling the bags inside Jusco at Kornhill Plaza on July 24. She was arrested when she left without paying. Magistrate Garry Tallentire adjourned the case for sentencing on September 13. The items found in the bags included cans of nuts, foot cushions and insoles, skincare products, shampoo, utensils, a handbag, stationery and baby shoes and toys.
