Germany has always been an ambitious country. It has been hailed as 'the country of poets and inventors'. It is famous for the composer Beethoven, the writer Goethe, sausages and beer. What I like most about it is the impressive football tradition as well as our great history.

The city of Trier is a union of ancient fortresses and modern nightlife. It is the oldest city in Germany. Most notably, it was the birthplace of Karl Marx.

We enjoy sunny, warm summers and cold, dry winters.

Having been an exchange student at Hong Kong Baptist University, I really appreciate Hong Kong's unique culture and enjoyed my stay tremendously. I find Hong Kong very flexible and safe. I love almost everything about Hong Kong, from the Baptist University campus to the beautiful beaches.

One of my most memorable experiences was having a hotpot dinner with my friends. We also had a lot of fun clubbing and singing karaoke.

I am currently studying political science, economics and sociology. My first language is German but I am fluent in English, French, Latin, Greek and Luxembourgish. I can also speak a little Putonghua.

I am a huge music fan. I like anything that's good - my favourite genres are house and rock. I have played the guitar for 10 years and been a DJ for three years.

My other interests include reading, songwriting, programming as well as languages and culture, especially those from China. I also enjoy fast sports such as basketball and football.

When I am with friends, we hang out in my music room jamming, go to the cinema and visit bars. I enjoy emotional and dramatic movies, especially Chinese and European ones - I loved Protege and Infernal Affairs.

I can be both humorous and very serious. I am also emotional and stubborn at times. My friends say I am passionate, flexible but also arrogant.

I'm not sure where exactly I want to work in the future, but I would like to handle Sino-European relations. Maybe I can be a consultant on Chinese foreign policy in the west.

I have a tiny but close family, consisting of my mother, my brother, my uncle as well as my grandparents.

The most important festival in my country is German National Day on October 3. Apart from that, our family celebrates traditional holidays such as Christmas and New Year's Eve.

Some of my favourite idols are Eric Clapton for being an amazing songwriter and guitar player; Armand van Helden and Westbam for revolutionizing modern house music and Michael Schumacher for his superior racing skills.
