Local label initial has opened a store in Kowloon (below). Covering more than 3,000 sq ft, it includes an art exhibition area, cafe and hair salon. Yearning Japanese

Japanese conceptual designer Mihara Yasuhiro has opened his first overseas boutique, in Hong Kong, called Sosu Miharayasuhiro (below). Trunk call

Hissy Chrissie

Rocker Chrissie Hynde has threatened to sue leather company Hogan for using her name to promote a bag. According to the New York Daily News, Hynde - an avid animal rights activist - has taken issue with Hogan over a new pony-skin handbag named the Chrissie. She's exploring her legal options with the help of animal rights group Peta.

In the bag

Karl Lagerfeld has signed a licensing agreement with Accessory Network Group to design, make and distribute his namesake handbags, small leather goods and luggage. The collection will be available from autumn next year.

Niece idea

Francesca Versace, the 25-year-old niece of the late Gianni Versace, has designed a capsule collection with Singaporean label alldressedup. Versace worked with the label's head designer, Sven Tan, for two months. Alldressedup by Francesca V will have its debut in March next year.
