The mainland's achievements in information technology and sports impressed a group of Hong Kong students during their visit to Shanghai recently.
A total of 40 students, including some from Shanghai, took part in the five-day camp. Apart from sharing their thoughts on technology, the participants visited several hi-tech and sports centres in and around the city.
Fung Pui-shan of Christian Alliance College said she was impressed by the mainlanders' thirst for new knowledge and their resourcefulness.

'They put a lot into hi-tech development,' Pui-shan observed.
'The sprawling technology centre we visited is filled with state-of-the-art facilities.
