Sales manager must take ownership of business

Someone with the drive to succeed who is ready to shift into high gear should consider this role as sales manager, security systems, for an engineering giant.

The company, headquartered in Hong Kong, has 3,000 experts in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Macau, Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore. It is involved in many areas of engineering and associated services and products, including technical services, industrial engineering, building services contracting, security systems, building products and air-conditioning products.

'This person must have drive, be proactive and take ownership,' said Paul Ho, managing director of Manlink.

The person must have a lot of integrity and 'run the business as if it was their own', he said.

The candidate, with a minimum of 10 years' experience, will lead a team of sales executives in providing total building automation systems solutions to customers, develop business plans to achieve financial targets and partner with potential suppliers in offering customer-oriented packages.

Excellent interpersonal skills are important in this job because it involves dealing with people all the time. 'Working closely with customers to ensure high customer satisfaction is very important.'

A degree holder in engineering or business studies with a sound knowledge in building automation systems, such as building controls, security systems and extra-low voltage systems would have an advantage.
