China Water Affairs reaches supply target of 4m tonnes

Mainland drinking water supplier China Water Affairs Group said it had reached next year's target to supply four million tonnes of water. Chairman Duan Chuanliang said the growth rate of existing water plants would be more than 20 per cent and the group was aiming for more acquisitions. He declined to give further details.

The government had given approval to the group to raise by more than 10 per cent the price of drinking water in three of the 18 cities it supplied, he said. Jasmine Wang
