Steven Lam Tsz-fung, 14, secured his first men's title yesterday, firing a gutsy par round of 71 to win the Macau Amateur Open Championship at the Macau Golf & Country Club. The St Joseph's College student overcame overnight leader Cliff Chan Sio-ping to win by three strokes. Alexi Van Damme finished third, a further stroke back. 'I didn't think I could win before we started today,' admitted Lam. 'Cliff is normally so solid around this course, but after his bad start I really thought I had a chance. It really feels great to have finally won a men's tournament.' Lam will turn his attention to the UBS Hong Kong Open qualifying at Fanling early next month.
