Unlike womenswear, a man's wardrobe is often regarded as functional, extremely predictable and, well, just plain boring. Try anything radical and you'll be sure to get more giggles than compliments. In this issue, we hope to change all that. This season promises to be dynamic one, featuring plenty of burgeoning talents in the world of menswear design.

Gracing our cover is South Korean idol Rain, whose charm, looks and impressive performances have earned him kudos among pop fans since his debut in 2002. Known for his discerning sense of style and his love of fashion, Rain visits Valencia to model autumn's most luxurious outfits.

Belgian designer Kris Van Assche's edgy designs and exquisite tailoring have garnered him a loyal following in recent years, and he was recently appointed creative director at Dior Homme. He spends a moment with Stephen Doig in Paris to talk about the design of his own label as well as his plans for the future.

When it comes to being inspired, designers often look to the streets for ideas. Photographer and fashion blogger Scott Schuman - perhaps better known as The Sartorialist - travels the world taking snapshots of stylish urbanites, which he then posts on his website. He tells Kavita Daswani how he gave up his job as a fashion director to venture down the less-trodden path of blogging.

Every fashion season brings with it a fresh batch of talent and in this issue we introduce you to four promising names to look out for. Finally, check out our Hit List, which is loaded with covetable accessories, and our fashion shoots, which feature stylish ensembles that guarantee to spice up your wardrobe this autumn.
