Strong leader to drive growth at insurance firm
A United States-listed insurance company with more than 50 offices worldwide is calling for applicants to help lead, manage and grow the accident and health division of the company as general manager.
A strong leader with strategic vision and broad business development skills is sought for this challenging role. Manpower Professional is handling the search.
The role will oversee strategies, finances, marketing and logistical plans of the division. The candidate will lead, manage and develop a team of 60, monitoring product lines and distribution channels, and handling advertising campaigns along with planning, budgeting and forecasting.
'The individual will be responsible for growing and maximising profitability and positioning the company as a market leader, as well as expanding the company's market share,' said Margaret Ma Lai-ming, search consultant at Manpower. The challenge would come in developing new businesses and expanding the company's presence in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the mainland.
The company is looking for a people-oriented person as the candidate will have to foster positive relationships with new and existing production sources and professional associations.
With at least eight years' insurance experience, five of which were gained from a senior management level, the individual will also have to liaise with functional groups within the country and throughout the region to carry out marketing and sales, underwriting, claims processing, financing and legal matters.
Travelling to Taiwan and the mainland will be required.
