Nine people and four companies were sentenced in the District Court yesterday for possessing 140,000 cans of food for sale bearing forged trademarks. The defendants were Ng Chun-chiu, Li Yick-sum, Leung Kin-shing, Chan Charn-sum, Chan Tat-kong, Chan Charn-lam, Shum Kit-yee, Iu Kwong Wa, Li Yuk Wah, Li Tat China Food, Hong Kong Chung Luen (Holdings), Yau Luen Hong International and Kwong Ming International (Holdings). Chan Charn-lam was jailed for 10 months and Leung Kin-shing for four months, suspended for two years.
