Chinese International School pupils create a rose mandala to celebrate International Day of Peace yesterday. The mandala, a circular symbol of the universe in Hindu and Buddhist mythology, was the school's way of telling pupils they could 'make a difference'. Head of the primary school Tonya Porter told students: 'All of us can make a peaceful school and, someday, a peaceful world.' Antonia Simon, 10, said peace day was a chance to 'be nice to people and keep all the mean stuff in your head' and Krystof Wysocki, 10, said that although most people wanted peace, there were still some 'thinking bad stuff'.
