Definition of success
What is success? Being rich? Achieving a lot in business? Gaining knowledge? Many people think highly of results and do not realise that the process is more important.
I think they are influenced by society. When you are at school, you need to work hard to get good results. When you start working, you need to work hard to get a promotion.
People think if you have good results, you are successful. But I don't think this is the only definition.
In my opinion, as long as we try our best, we are successful. We should focus on the process, not just the outcome.

Thanks for your letter, those are very wise words, indeed. Sometimes we're so eager to get results that we forget to take in the journey along the way.
In terms of school, this might mean that the determination to get good grades leaves you slavishly pouring over past exam papers instead of taking time to ponder the value of what you are learning.
I'm not suggesting that you take your eye off the goal - it's important to strive for as good a grade as you can manage. But it is worth taking a breather every now.
Stepping back and looking at the big picture helps you keep things in perspective.
