Enterovirus case confirmed

A woman, confirmed as the city's 12th Enterovirus-71 infection case yesterday, probably caught the disease from her three-year-old son, the Centre for Health Protection said. She developed symptoms of the disease, one of the causative agents of hand, foot and mouth disease, last Wednesday. Her son, who was confirmed with the viral infection a day later, had travelled to Macau from September 14 to 16. His 11 other travel companions did not have symptoms.
