Show turns into trip down Miss Hong Kong memory lane

It was like a Miss Hong Kong reunion on Thursday night at Kookai's autumn fashion show at TOTT's bar in The Excelsior as 1999's second runner-up Myolie Wu Hang-yee, 2003's winner Mandy Cho Man-lee and 2005's Tracy Ip Chui-chui all joined the catwalk parade.

Of the three, Cho (below) has been the busiest recently. After finishing a course on gemology in the US, she's back on television on both the Cantonese channel Jade and occasionally co-hosting Pearl's English show Dolce Vita.

'I am only doing the show whenever they need people but since I recently completed the gemology course, I was really excited to see some very nice jewellery,' Cho says. 'I have always loved jewellery and diamonds. I thought it would be good to study that when I am still young and can take some time off.'

Now that she's back, Cho seems to have been welcomed back to the TVB fold - contrary to reports that station executives were peeved she scuttled their plans for her. Cho will begin shooting a new drama next month and recently appeared in a celebrity ballroom dancing competition arranged by TVB with a mainland broadcaster.
