Little bitch steals the limelight from long-legged models
The star attraction of Dorian Ho Kwok-ching's autumn and winter fashion show should have been the location. Enticing his guests all the way out to Cyberport's Bel-Air No8 Pavilion last Friday, the event included a 20-minute fireworks display followed by a 30-piece couture show. But all the attention went from the lanky models to a bitch with four short legs.
Joining model Mikki Yao on stage for one of the looks was Ho's 15-month-old show-stealing schnauzer, Ting Ting. For her first ever fashion show, the pup (above with Ho) looked extremely confident, even greeting various guests by sniffing their shoes. 'I have two dogs at home and they are like my own children, so it's nice to do a show with them,' Yao said afterwards.
For Ho, putting a dog on stage was easy but bringing a new animal home took some serious consideration. 'My last dog got seriously ill after I left him with a friend when I went on holiday. It died shortly afterwards and I stopped keeping a dog for eight years because I believed his death was due to my negligence,' Ho said. Overcoming self-blame, the stylist is even organising an upcoming photo exhibition at Times Square for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Ho knows fashion may come and go, but an adopted pet should not go out of style. 'Think twice before you buy a pet because keeping it is a life-long promise'. Sounds like a government API.
