Thai found with heroin at airport

Customs officials confiscated 3.5kg of heroin hidden in the luggage of a Thai woman who flew to Chek Lap Kok from Kuala Lumpur on Saturday. Checkpoint officials detected suspicious items during an X-ray inspection and found the drugs in a false compartment. The heroin has a market value of HK$1.85 million, according to the officials. The 50-year-old suspect was charged with trafficking in a dangerous drug and will appear at Tsuen Wan Court today.
