Someone quick on their toes and with strong analytical skills should jump at this opportunity to join a major sourcing firm.

A leading US-based branded lifestyle apparel company is looking for a financial controller for their Asian head office in Hong Kong. The office is the company's sourcing and merchandising hub, supporting a turnover of over US$6 billion. KPMG's Executive Search and Recruitment Services is handling the search.

The financial controller, who will report to the chief financial officer for Asia, will be the group's head of finance and accounting for sourcing and merchandising in Asia, covering more than 10 of the group's garment and accessory brands across a number of offices in the region.

'This company is enjoying exciting growth in Asia and acquiring business or brands from other companies, while transferring its existing operations from the United States to Asia,' said Michelle Hui, senior manager, KPMG's Executive Recruitment, China and Hong Kong.

'The financial controller will play a key role in ensuring the company has the financial infrastructure, internal control and operational systems to support not only today's business but its planned expansion.'

The appointee will work closely with business teams in Asia and the US, providing business activities' summaries, management reports, analyses and recommendations. Weekly meetings imply excellent communication skills.

Candidates should have professional accountancy qualifications and more than 10 years' relevant work experience, five of which should have been at a managerial level.
