Position to handle sensitive information

Here is a post for those looking for a challenge in the translation business while seeking to hone a career in banking and finance.

CLS Communication, a global language service provider experiencing growth in the region, requires a senior translator to join its office in Hong Kong. The role requires handling projects for translation and copywriting for target clients in the banking and finance industry. The position would suit someone who is meticulous and trustworthy.

'The content we handle is highly confidential and its correctness is of paramount importance,' said Michael Wong, client relationship manager, North Asia. 'Our clients are global financial institutions who trust us with sensitive information, so the person appointed must be trustworthy too.'

The role requires a native speaker of Chinese languages with a degree in translation or language studies. Professional qualifications in economics or finance would be an advantage.

Candidates should have at least five years' experience in translation, copywriting or editing in the field of banking and finance. They should also have a good working knowledge of Trados - a computer-assisted translation tool - and Microsoft office applications.

'This job is for someone who wants a long-term career and has a passion in languages, yet wants to expand their prospects and have the basis to grow in the finance field,' Mr Wong said.
