Man of the moment Riccardo Tisci's dark, sensual designs for Givenchy come straight from the heart, writes Jing Zhang.
The so-called prince of the piano, Li Yundi, met Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves at the concert Yundi Li & the Budapest Festival Orchestra Concert held in the Shanghai Oriental Art Centre last Friday.
'I didn't know Reeves was there when I was performing,' Li (right) said, recalling how excited he was after learning Reeves was in the audience. Reeves was said to be on a three-day holiday in Shanghai.
After the concert, Reeves invited Li for xiao long bao, or Shanghainese dumplings. Li described Reeves as friendly and 'a very typical American ... He used a lot of body gestures when he talked; it was almost as if I was watching one of his movies. It was very relaxing having dinner with him.'
Li said actors and musicians shared a common trait, which is, 'you have to be focused when you are performing, and self-forgetful'.
