'Long Hair' waxes poetic on Tsang's policy address
He is better known for his protest antics and long hair. But legislator Leung Kwok-hung is also an accomplished satirical poet.
At Donald Tsang Yam-kuen's briefing at Legco a day after his policy address, he interrupted the chief executive with a clever acrostic poem (below).
The first vertical line says: 'A progressive-developmental outlook'. However, the horizontal lines mean something else. We apologise for the literal translation. We lack Mr Leung's poetic flair.
'Rob the poor and enrich the wealthy
'Welcome to our bubble economy
'Spread the politics of money and power
'And make real the collusion between government and big business
'Outlook completely forgets universal suffrage.'
