Look out for endangered species series
I'm writing in response to the article 'Boom takes its toll on endangered species' (South China Morning Post, October 4).
I think that imposing the death penalty for killing rare animals is not a good way to solve the problem and it is cruel.
Besides, it would give people the wrong message that it's ok to kill other wildlife.
We should be fair to all animals. We should not classify them. If we don't protect all animals, many will soon become extinct.
We should make a joint effort to save our wildlife.

From the Editor
Thanks for your letter, Angelina. The Young Post team is always thrilled to receive so many letters each day from our readers. We receive such heart-felt letters on so many different topics that my only regret is that we cannot publish them all.
In addition to giving you a space to voice your opinions, the letters page is also an opportunity for me to gauge your interests. And when you - the readers - ask for something myself and the team do our best to provide it.
Your letter, Angelina, has given me a wonderful idea. Since you - and many of our other readers - are interested in endangered species, we will run a series on this topic beginning next term. It will run on Tuesdays after Christmas.
Thanks again for the inspiration - we are always listening to you.
