A divorced Thai woman was jailed for eight years yesterday after she admitted throwing corrosive acid in an attempt to disfigure her former husband, who had had an affair. The Court of First Instance was told that Varavan Rangcha-Em, 50, had begged Wichian Sardsee, 47, for a reconciliation on March 25. The court heard that Mr Wichian had suffered severe skin burns on his face, neck, arms and legs, leaving his face disfigured.
