Connecting with teens around the world

I live in  a rural area: the nearest mall is 45 minutes away, and the most popular club at school is the Future Farmers of America.
We have four distinct seasons here. It gets very cold in the winter and really hot in the summer, with cool autumns and warm springs. We get a lot of rain, which often causes flooding, and snow several times a year.
I really like my extra-curricular activities, which consist of sports and theatre performances. I'm an active member of the International Thespian Society, which is the largest youth theatre group in the world. I also play soccer and am the school's track team captain.  I'm proud to say that I'm one of the top 20 hurdlers in the state.
During my free time, I work at the local Six Flags amusement park selling merchandise. I  also referee a lot of youth soccer games. I also love dancing. I've done jazz, lyrical and tap dancing since I was three.
What I love about the US is the political atmosphere.  I find the ongoing debate between Democrats and Republicans fascinating.
We eat good ol' American fare  in New Jersey, such as cheeseburgers, French fries, and doughnuts.  I prefer foreign foods - my favourite is sushi.
There are five people in my family: me, my parents and my brother and my sister who are twins and two years younger than me.
My dad is my best friend, because he's always been there for me. I occasionally argue with my mother, but on the whole, we get along fine. I also have a big, crazy cat named Whiskers, whom I love.
My idol is Barack Obama, as I really like his political platform. I think he'll turn the country in the right direction. I also admire Gene Kelly. I consider him the ultimate performer, able to dance, sing, and act - a real talent.  Carl Lewis is the ultimate athlete.
I like romantic comedies and action and horror movies. When it comes to music, I love indie rock bands like The Decembrists and Spoon, as well as the classics, like the Beatles.
I plan to attend New York University and major in biology. I want to be a doctor or orthopaedic surgeon.
