I REFER to the letter from P. Hobbs headlined, ''Weak link'' (South China Morning Post, January 19).

While we are pleased to note Mr Hobbs' comment that most of the 100km long MacLehose Trail is exceedingly well-marked, we will review the trail's way-marking system of Sections 9 and 10, from Tai Lam Chung Reservoir to Tuen Mun. Where necessary, additional way-markers will be provided. The Country Parks Authority will continue its endeavours to improve and maintain country park facilities for the better enjoyment of the public.
